⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a great experience at Opa Taverna for Magical Dining! The food, atmosphere, and entertainment made it such a fun night — truly dinner and a show. The falafel with the creamy tzatziki was the perfect pairing and such a good way to start the meal. I really enjoyed the salmon as well; it was cooked perfectly, and a fresh squeeze of lemon on top made it even better. But the lamb chops were definitely the star for me — absolutely spectacular! So tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. 🤌🏽 For dessert, we tried the Greek-style donuts and baklava, which were the perfect way to end the meal. I also had the Black Salt Paloma mocktail and really enjoyed it! Overall, I thought the Magical Dining menu was a great experience. What a unique restaurant Taverna Opa is. The music in the background, the celebrations and the dancers were all very entertaining and made for a truly unique experience! My husband and I were in Orlando for a convention and decided to have dinner at Taverna Opa because it was nearby. Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.

We arrived right as they were closing and the owner welcomed us in because everything else was closed. The food was delicious and the staff was phenomenal. Since it was closing time they could have had a bad attitude but assured us we were fine and even offered dessert, which was out of this world. It’s actually imported from Greece. Love it here! I have been here several times between conferences and basketball tournaments. Food is always delicious and highly recommend the family style platters! They are huge! Come at night to enjoy the party atmosphere…belly dancing, dancing on the tables and DJ all night long! Fun!! They were super friendly about my food allergies! I have a long list (gluten, soy, treenuts, sesame, peanuts, shellfish.) that can be really painful to handle! This place was a pleasant surprise! While wandering the area, my friends and I saw a menu posted outside the establishment only to realize once we went in that it was a menu for a completely different restaurant. We stayed regardless and had a great meal! It's an authentic Greek restaurant. From the food to the decor, down to the family style seating, this place screams Greece. Our group of 4 split two appetizer samplers and everything on those plates was incredible. The wings, lamb ribs, meatballs, calamari, and spanakopita we're all great and two of the people in our party had never had Greek food before. The service was also great. A little slow considering the place was nearly empty, but they were very kind and welcoming. As for the atmosphere, it feels like you're eating at a food hall in the Grecian Islands. This is a lively restaurant with lots of hot delicious Greek cuisine. We visited the place to lift our spirits from a raining evening on the last day of our vacation and it did not disappoint. The belly dancing and crowd engagement made our meal that much more enjoyable.

10/10 experience not only was the music great the lamb was so tender and delicious and juicy and I'm not even a person who enjoys lamb. Typically, I find it terrible but this was delicious. The family style, which isn't pictured was also delicious coming out with several options to share with a large group of people. This place was so much fun! They have a nightly belly dancer at 7 pm who was phenomenal. The saganaki is a must get with the flames! It's a fried cheese block. FIVE STARS - NO QUESTIONS, NO DOUBTS. Wow, I was literally blown away by Taverna Opa. This doesn't happen often, and especially not in this part of town in what I would consider a touristy area. We had a party of 6 and were seated outside at a nice, big table. We booked a reservation at the last minute and thankfully were able to snag one late in the evening. The server came over quickly and checked on us, explained the menu and his recommendations. We ordered a ton of food, a few drinks and a couple shots for a digestif. Everything was hot, flavorful, delicious, and exactly what we wanted. I don't think we had a bite of anything that was in any way disappointing. Major shoutout for the Pastitsio - it was one of the best we've ever had. This is my husband's favorite dish, and he was amazed at the flavor and the cook on the food. I will be back!

My coworker and I stopped in for lunch while attending a show at the convention center. The service was great, especially considering how busy it got as the lunch hour progressed. We shared meatballs, hummus, mussels, and each had a cocktail. I had never had a cocktail like that and while I can't recall exactly what was in it, it was incredibly tasty. Authentic Greek!!!! Authentic Greek! This is the real deal. Even though it is located in a tourist area, don’t let that fool you. This is authentic Greek! Greek salad just like in Greece. If you're looking for a unique dinning experience Taverna Opa Orlando, is the place to go! :) Taverna Opa Orlando, was the best experience I've ever experienced at a restaurant, it was so much fun!. :) The night me and my Mom, went there was a belly dancer named Julianna. Ms. Julianna, brought me, and my Mom up with her to show us some belly dancing moves. Taverna Opa, also, brings the Greek culture to life by dancing on tables, and tossing napkins on the tables. Good food, EXCELLENT atmosphere. Absolutely will return. Friends who'd been here before brought us here for a night out. I've never had Greek food before so we ordered the family style meal so we could just take what we wanted. There was WAY more food than we could all eat and we have some pretty big eaters. The food was amazing. I only tried one thing I really didn't care for. Not exactly sure what all I ate, but it was tasty. The atmosphere though is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Be prepared, it's loud, boisterous and interactive 😉. The belly dancer even got my 70 yr old husband to dance with her (my kids were SHOCKED). They are all very sweet and, unlike a lot of places like this, they interacted with everybody. If they saw kids up and dancing, they went and danced with them. If they saw old people shimmying with the music, they gave them attention as well. They didn't just cater to the 18-30 crowd. It was also very family friendly. I felt like I'd happened into a Greek wedding reception. Don't come if you intend to eat and run. It's not a quick bite. I'd budget at least 2-3 hours for the experience. Also, I'd check into reservations esp on the weekends. It's a very busy restaurant. 100% will return! ** Also, as I said before, it is LOUD and boisterous. While it's loads of fun for most people, if you have sensory issues it may not be the place for you. I'd spend a bit of time in the front of the resaurant first before being seated to see if you can handle it before being seated. Great entertainment and food and staff and dancers Opa has a variety great authentic Greek -Mediterranean food and desserts. Service is amazing Max the bartender is superb and very tentative! Bernard the server very efficient handled our big party with ease! Dj:hats off! Greek and some American music which our kids loved.Also belly dancer Gabbi and Julianna are amazing and interact with crowd and put on quite the show! The owner N always greets you with a smile and most of the staff danced to Greek xasapikoserviko excellent.will definitely visit again! 10 out 10 for experience, food ,ambience dancing, and lots of napkin throwing you know it’s a fun night if napkins are thrown in the air! A Big Fat Greek Great Experience!! Don't miss it!! As a Greek-American I couldn't wait to write this review raving about the food and experience. We had the lamb chops, spinach pie, meatballs, calamari, artichoke chicken, chicken souvlaki. The loukoumades and the ekmek kataifi for dessert. All 100% authentic and excellent. You definitely don’t want to miss this experience! Our family visited this amazing restaurant while on vacation in Orlando. The food was excellent! The hummus and Tzatziki appetizers were made in house and were fantastic! All the food was! Our server Katherine was the icing on the cake. Fun place for the entire family The octopus is served with onions and capers. Only complaint was it was a very small portion for an appetizer to share. The flaming cheese comes with pita slices. They set the cheese on fire table side. Unfortunately the cheese was crusted hard so you have to eat it fairly fast. The meat platter for two could actually feed 3. I didn’t care for the sausage but everything else was good. The belly dancers perform through the entire restaurant and many people got up on the tables to dance. Food, resturant, and entertainment were GREAT. NOT easily accesable with a walker. Very good spot to celebrate. Unfortunately the location is on the 2nd floor and we found it difficult to locate the elevators. Escalators not compatable. Once we located elevator in back near garage enterance we were able to make our way to the resturant. ALSO the staff was friendly and attentative. Great for a casual night out Great for a casual night out, good fun bar. Yes it is in the middle of a tourist area but we did not feel as if we were in a tourist trap. Bar staff took time to talk and interface with us. Max is great and was a pleasure to meet. Went more than once, on a quiet afternoon spent a long time talking with the managers.
