I recently visited Taverna Opa Orlando on International Drive for a birthday dinner with a group of approximately 12 people, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience!

The service started off strong, although things slowed down a little toward the end. However, considering how busy the restaurant was, it was understandable. We spent approximately two to three hours there, and the food came out relatively quickly, especially considering the size of our group. The drinks were delicious, and let’s just say we definitely kept them coming!

One of the highlights of the evening was the entertainment! The napkin dancing was so much fun, and I especially enjoyed how the dancer interacted with the customers, encouraged everyone to participate, and made the birthday celebration even more memorable. It really added to the overall atmosphere and made the experience that much more entertaining.

Would I recommend it? HIGHLY! If you’ve never visited Taverna Opa, I think it’s worth experiencing at least once. While the dining experience may not necessarily be my personal go-to, I would absolutely consider returning to enjoy more of the bar scene, music, and entertainment.

Overall, it was a fun evening filled with good drinks, lively entertainment, and great birthday memories. I’m glad I had the opportunity to experience Taverna Opa!

Our whole family had an incredible dining experience. We stopped here after a long day in universal after reading such great reviews and we were BLOWN AWAY. hands down the best gyro I’ve ever eaten. Freshness, flavor and quality were out of this world. We will absolutely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Every visit to Taverna Opa is an experience, not just a dinner! The service is incredible every single time we come in. A special shout-out to our server, Andreas, who has taken care of us on multiple visits. His energy, warmth, and attention to detail turn a regular night out into a full-blown party, and we truly believe he's a huge part of why this place is so successful. The managers are always kind and accommodating, and they go out of their way to make sure everyone has a great time. And the food is fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and authentically Greek. Stopped here for dinner with my family the night before going back home. We had high hopes. The atmosphere, staff, and entertainment were great. The food, however. The patitisio had no flavor. Made a reservation, but when I showed up, could not find any host or server. Milled around the front of the restaurant for 10 minutes before a diner joined us in the front, trying to find someone to do anything. She told us it was probably pointless trying to eat there.

There was an employee having a conversation on his cellphone at the bar, doing his best to ignore everyone. Perhaps this is a simulation of Greece in 2009?
